This song was catchy and at some points annoying but it was just the basics for the great music that would come from Macklemore.
Including : Same Love & Wings .

Now you may know this song as the overplayed dance song The Harlem shake linkHarlem Shake. 

i just personally thought it should have more words (since it was played on the radio.

Anyways this song inspired many dance videos and never seemed to go away

but finally it did . 

Thank God. 

Now this is more of a genre , not my normal genre , yet still

influential on many internet addicted teens. This includes

Pierce the Veil , Black Veil Brides , Fall Out Boy , and many others.

These are the so called "emo" bands , and are often known to make

real , raw music . At least that is what the fans of the music have seemed

This next song Heartbreak Girl by 5 Seconds Of Summer was Beneath YOur Beautifulperformed 

by these 4 boys , on the 1D TMH tour. An opening act to begin 

but this song and some of there others also was a reason some came to the concerts.

Picked by two One Direction members for the tour these Australians 5sos                                                                                         had

a massive success with Heartbreak Girl this year .This song

was also covered by Australian youtuber Troye Sivan

Two songs that became popular around the same time were

  Beneath Your Beautiful by Labrinth ft. Emeli Sande ,  

and Just Give Me A Reason by P!nk ft. Nate Ruess . 

These two songs were different from eachother , but being 

released at the same time caused a great fight for number 1 spot

Kiss You by One Direction the last song to be released off 

of the Take Me Home album. (One Way Or Another was a charity single for 

Red Nose Day and is not included on an album)

This song was still a pop song that we could expect to come from One Direction.

Still it blew minds all over the
world and broke records with the amount of views it got.

The album Prism by Katy Perry was also released this year.

It includes hits like Roar, and Unconditionally . 

This album was Katy Perry's new outlook on things and was 

a very empowering album for a young female mind.

Miley Cyrus with Wrecking Ball and We Can't Stop.

I loved the actual Wrecking Ball song , but the more memorable                                  part 

of these songs were the music videos/performances that came 

along with them . The memories of Hannah Montana are gone 

and this marketing genius has left a permanent mark on this 

                 generation of people.

A group known for their covers Boyce Avenue also had some great                                                     boyce avenue

success this year . They take the popular pop song and make it pleasurable

to the more indie group of music lovers. So congratulations

to them changing a song for mostly the better. 

Selena Gomez Stars Dance, was an amazing album an amazing tour
and made by an amazing person . Selena Marie Gomez released her
album this year on July 23rd. This album includes hits  like
Come And Get It and Slow Down. My guess is in 2014
we'll have even more rocking movies from Selena , because with her
the possibilities (Selena's youtube  )
are endless.

Best Song Ever, Midnight Memories , One Direction.

Best Song Ever was the first song released off of Midnight Memories, 

It shattered records , as did Story Of My Life . and the rest

of the album. Midnight Memories featured a very different look at the One Direction

boys musical style . Story of My Life just an introduction to the more 

rocky/edgy songs that would be on the album .  From Best Song Ever to Half A Heart

every track is different and will blow even more minds in 2014.

Royals by Lorde .

This song has great lyrics and background music, but Lorde

distracted us from that by bashing many artists music while ridng

her 15 minutes of fame . Royals by Lorde

I know I know i didn't write about Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke . 

So here, a sexist degrading song that topped the charts all summer even with

it's untasteful lyrics.

Counting Stars by One Republic . 

One of the lasted songs to top the charts.

Our One Republic boys have come back and 

prouduced another outstanding , and catchy track , that 

deserves to be heard by everyone. Counting Stars LInk

A song released today (December 29th ) . It's not on the radios, 

but it does what this post does , summarize 2013.

Troye Sivan  The 2013 Song is a sequel to the 2012 song , that Troye 

released last year. It talks about things like Miley , Gays , and Nelson Mandela's passing.

This song is so easy to listen to and it's a great summary of our pop 

culture this year.
